Diverse Schools

What does detect a good martial art school?
Each martial art has their pro and contras, their strengths and weaknesses. The most systems and styles are specialized in certain areas. Each martial art is therefore on their special field the best, neglected however necessarily aspects, which particularly place other arts into the foreground. There are more than 500 combat systems and - styles. All claim for themselves the title to be " the best system " and have usually quite right.

If you want to find your ideal system, don't look up directly in the industry register of your phonebook, but consider beforehand, on which you put at most value.

Do you look for a school, which addresses your sport spirit? A school with tournaments? Then perhaps you are at the correct place with Judo, Karate, Kickboxing or Taekwondo or do you see rather the aspect of self-defence in the foreground, then you look at schools with the main style of Wing Chun, Jujitsu or Aikido. Perhaps you are the hard type, which cannot deter a few stikes to the head? How would it be with Muay Thai or Boxing? Would you like something gentler, in order to strengthen the internal organs and your health? How would it then be with Taijiquan or Qi Gong? And for all, which rather want more Acrobatic, a Wu Shu school would be perhaps the aptitude. In the Chin Woo Kung Ff School you will find a little bit from everything, but our strength is situated in self-defence, Wu Shu and Tai Chi. All styles have something property, and only you decide, into which direction it is to go. If you think, a school would be applicable, have a look at it. Require a free-sample lesson and see whether training fulfils your expectations. Place your questions and be critical!
At any time you can require a
free-sample lesson to have a look if the training and the teacher is what you expected to be.

An important rule with looking up for a respectable Gong Fu school is

A master, who says he has the 5. Dan in Kung Fu, then you should be carful because Dan of degrees and black belts do not exist in the genuine Chinese Kung Fu! Only in Japanese and Korean types of combat arts there are Dan of degrees for masters.

Small note
According to the latest news there are Duan degrees for Tai Chi and even Wu Shu. Personally we don't agree with this development, because this Duan degrees developed from pure "making money". There are a lot of teachers with the most obscure diplomas, which are singularly, unusually or never had been given to another teacher. This distinguishes those teachers, who only stick to outward appearances.

Finally there is no rule for looking for a teacher, it doesn't matter whether he won great matches or if he has many diplomas or if he has nothing written on a paper. It always depends on the teacher how he leads the instructions eihter you like it or you don't, that's the only thing that counts.
